‘We cherish our unique programmes: not as heritage from the past, but as a foundation for the future. Therefore, we must not only ensure their continued existence, but also shape them in such a way that they fulfil their crucial role: incisive, relevant, interconnected and engaged with society. By doing so, we contribute not only to knowledge, but to a society that is better able to understand, act and coexist.’
